It was a perfect jumping off point. I was really into the Priest series and felt the ending with Secret Invasion was great. Was not really interested in reading a Black Panther book without MY Black Panther.

Not every character can carry a title. BP worked best IMO with the Avengers (as part of the team).

It will be really interesting to see how this series does. I agree that the previous series had a nice clean ending. Switching to a new an unknown female Black Panther was a risk.
