Atomic Robo Digital 3-day Sale

I have heard many good things said about Atomic Robo by Bob & John on their podcasts so I put this on my comiXology alert. They have individual issues for 99 cent or volume 1 - 6 for $3.99 per.

Thanks Gilgabob for the DC code for a full copy of Young Justice #0.

What's a Comixology alert? Can you have Comixology tell you when a series/issue you're interested in goes on sale?

I am not certain about the website for Comixology, but from my tablet there is an option to "add alert" for a specific title. I will get notification of a new release or sale for those selected.

That's pretty cool. I'll have to check the android app and the website.

I forwarded the Atomic Robo sale off to a buddy. He's reading and enjoying them. He really enjoys the way the app moves from frame to frame. I'm beginning to think digital really will bring new people in to comics - if the price is right.

I tried out the digital comics after seeing Bob recommendati

Legends of the Dark Knight: The Butler Did It
Writer: Damon Lindleof
Artist: Jeff Lemire
Early in his career as Batman, Bruce Wayne learns a surprisingly brutal lesson in humility!

FABULOUS! This story gets a 5/5 from me, great dialogue and some really fantastic page designs by Lemire.
I tried this out... liked it, and then purchased the other 2 in the series, liked them and then checked out some of the .99 digital comics. This is working for me. I like the .99 price point and they have a customer now. (I only did trades before since I don't really have a good place to store comics)

During today's Monkeybrain Comics press call, comic book writer and Monkeybrain Co-Publisher Chris Roberson spoke to CBR News and reporters about his plans to expand his publishing company, Monkeybrain Books, into publishing digital creator-owned comics exclusively through comiXology.

The call kicked off with Roberson explaining that Monkeybrain Comics is an imprint of his existing Monkeybrain Books publishing company, toting a brand new line of creator-owned comics, the initial launch titles of which will appear on comiXology on July 4. Roberson, who left DC Comics over the issue of creators’ rights, said that he had spent the past two years trying to figure out how to publish directly to the digital market before coming to a deal with comiXology.

I read the 1st issues of these & particularly enjoyed "Amelia Cole & the Unknown World" and "Edison Rex". I'd definitely buy these if they were 99 cents, I'm not sure what the pricing model is going to be.

And Indie book Doc Macabre by Steve Niles & Bernie Wrightson, which was a great series:
